When I got my account started, I followed several people, but the three I would like to highlight are U.S. Department of Education (@usedgov), Coe College (@CoeCollege), & the Cedar Rapids Public Library (@CRPublicLibrary).
I decided to follow these accounts specially for a similar reason, with that reason being how I want to stay in the loop with important updates in my educational field (U.S. Department of Ed), any events going on at my college (Coe College), and any community events or updates (Cedar Rapids Public Library).
Of the challenges we did, the easiest one for me was by far finding my classmates on Twitter. All I had to do was go down our class roster and find everyone on Twitter, which only took me about 10 minuets (give or take).
When it comes to Twitter, it can be a useful tool for educators as it helps us stay connected with peers and helps us keep up on any important developments in the education field. For this reason, the only thing left for me to learn further is who else would it be helpful for me to follow, and how can I use them to help me further my learning as a future educator?
Below you will find one of my Re-Tweets in response to a great post regarding the banning of books.
Banning books which tell us stories of our pasts only leads us to repeating past mistakes https://t.co/S2aiI5QBCI
